Thursday Things

Well, I'm trying to get something accomplished today, on my day off. I had some packages to mail yesterday and, yes, I know, the PO was closed, but the drop box for the APC machines was so stuffed, I couldn't even drop the packages in! Also on my list for the day is: completely re-arranging my bedroom furniture, vaccuuming, scrubbing of floors and laundry.

We'll see.

Busy Busy Bee

I've been trying to get things accomplished but my new little PC has been distracting me with it's portable goodness. I'm hooked, I'll admit it. But today I have packed it away (for at least twenty minutes) so that I can get some work done online and at the shop.

oh Monday

Every time Monday rolls around again I can't help but think of that woman from Office Space saying, "Looks like someone has a case of the Mondays!"

Even though I really enjoy my Mondays. Years ago when I managed a Subway in Kansas City I scheduled myself off on Mondays just so I could have one weekday to run around and enjoy myself. It did screw with my social life a bit, since most of my circle of friends had the usual Mon-Fri work week. We would all gather for a usual Friday night that involved keeping the party alive until the wee hours of Saturday morning and I would always be on the couch asleep by 10:30pm.

Now Mondays are a day of cleaning and relaxing, usually more cleaning than relaxing. But I do get to list a lot online, and that's a good day by me. Speaking of which, check out my new cuff bracelet. It rocks.

Googles and Gators

I set up the google analytics for my Etsy store this month. The map feature is probably my favorite tool, with all the little bubbles representing cities visitors came from.

It seems I get quite a bit of views internationally, too. I think I have too much fun checking out the various sections of the map, seeing viewers in Russia, Japan, and Spain. My biggest fans seem to be in the UK and Australia. I feel loved.

I added some more items to my clearance section. I'm hesitant to add more to my Etsy shop since it's so full, but I'm too excited about them. You know, that, "Wow! Look at this amazing thing I just created! I've got to show this off!" feeling....
I may have to spend more time on my other online stores on Coriandr and 1000markets.

new year's eve

Tonight I will partying like it's 1999. Oh wait, I did that in 1999. Then I'll party like it's 2009.
Actually, I don't have any plans. Yet. We'll see. My little sister wants to spend it on the beach, which I've never found to be as fun as it sounds, but Allen said he might want to do some night fishing off the pier.

So I was a little busy yesterday.... I made oodles of cuffs!

After work, Allen and I attended Tuesday Night Movie Night where the feature for the evening was Wanted. Honestly, it wasn't quite what I expected. A little cheesy, perhaps? But it started off well and ended nicely, which is much more than a lot of our weekly features offer (think: Rad). Next weeks feature has been built up as an epic comedy classic, although the name wasn't revealed. I'll take their word for it. And soon, we'll be watching shorts of Trailer Park Boys again! Season six!

Sunday

Why so windy?
I'm avoiding going outside to take pictures because everything will just blow away. I suppose that's for the best, since I have to go into our shop and start two custom bags and finish a custom cuff.
December is almost here and I really haven't begun the Christmas shopping I promised myself I would begin in September. Well, I did start some shopping, but once I receive the item in the mail I get too excited to wait and give it to the thought-of person early.
I think I need to start shopping around for some trades, too.

Fancy and Fun for December

Not only did I finish my ornaments for work:But I made some little car ornaments to sell online! I'll get them pictured here tomorrow.

Boom Shakka Boom

I am listing furiously online today, as I totally need the money. Allen has a bunch of wicked cool tooled cuffs that I need to put up, but here's one to start:It's a caterpillar!

I'm still working on my Monkey comic. Not as much as I should be but I've promised myself to dedicate this evening after work and tomorrow to full drawing mode. I'm probably going to have to have Allen model some poses for me to sketch, also.

I'll post the progress as soon as I have some to report.

Bicycles Bicycles

I'm not a bike rider. I don't own one and they frighten me. I know it sounds absurd, but bikes are a minor fear of mine.
SO tonight is a big night, as I am attending the Chopper Night ride through West Palm with Allen and the gang. The theme is 80's metal / hair bands (or something like that) so I'm trying to get my hair crimped. I tried to tease my hair for the 80's prom last month and it just wasn't happening; my hair kept falling flat. Ah, well.

Amazing Saturday Funtime

Saturday is day two of the weekend-long bike build-off in Lake Park today with Jack the Bike Man!
Allen will be busy fixing bicycles to sell today and tomorrow so I'm determined to list things in between my own work.
Yesterday I made some wicked new cuffs:

I have a couple more, too, and I'm designing a pair of alligator sandals. But first I'm doing a fish mock-up.

Allen's been working on some more tooling. He's made a few cuffs and yesterday finished this celtic loop tooling which will be added to a messenger bag.
And here's a cuff that I've been working on. Hopefully I'll get it listed today (among other things). I just cannot seem to get motivated today! Argh!

Stripes!

New Cuffs with stripes!

I'm pretty excited about them - they're super soft and I love the color combinations. I'm going to have to make more. So much more.
I don't know why, striped seem to be my thing right now.

Allen's mowing the lawn and soon I'll be back in the shop making more cuffs. Before going into the night job. I kind of want to quit my night job. It seems the only I reason to go there any more is socializing but lately I've been working by myself so there's not even that.
Ah, well.
